My summer must haves

I love summer! There is no school, the sun is shining and the smell of bbqs and buttercups is wafting through the air. This is my favourite season and I wanted to share the products I use to make it even better.

The first thing I would recommend is dry shampoo! I use batiste because it works well for me and is within my price range, but you can choose whichever brand appeals to you. I love dry shampoo to bring along to PE for when my hair gets a bit limp or to take with me for a camp out with my friends. It degreases my hair in 5 minutes easily and just gives it so much more volume. I would really recommend you invest in a bottle for the upcoming few months!

The next thing I am loving is tinted moisturiser. Before your holiday you can use it to build up a gradual natural looking tan ready to show off on the beach, or you can just use it throughout the season if sunbathing isn’t your thing and you still want a sun kissed look. I use dove summer glow nourishing lotion as it feels amazing on my skin and doesn’t go patchy. It has a gel like texture and I just love how smooth it makes my skin!

Another vital product for summer is a good face moisturiser! The sun and sea can dry out your skin so easily and so it’s really important to make sure you hydrate your skin every morning and evening after giving it a proper wash. I am enjoying using my In transit camera close up at the moment. It says that it is a mask, moisturiser and primer and I definitely think it is easier to apply makeup on top of this moisturiser in comparison to some i’ve tried in the past.

In summer my hair can get quite dry and brittle and I use a hair oil to make it more shiny and soft. I use got2b oil-licious by Schwarzkopf and I really like it. I apply a pump to my hand and rub both hands together and then run it through the ends of my hair whilst it is wet. It smells amazing as well!

Finally fruity fragrances are my favourite thing to use throughout this season. I actually use Gilly Hicks body mist at the moment however I don’t think they sell them anymore. I love Loring Aster which smells like pineapples and Apple Orchid. I did manage to find these products on Amazon but I think they will be very difficult to find quite soon. Other good summer fragrances are solana beach or crescent bay by hollister. You can’t necessarily easily distinguish particular fruits in these sprays like you can with the Gilly Hicks ones but they are just gorgeous and fresh and summery. I find that most body mists are absolutely perfect for the warmer months.

Thankyou for reading and let me know if you would like to see anything in particular in my next post xx
